Tehepicford Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Hi,So, I accidentally left the headlights on all night now the battery is drained.I got the car used but I have heard that if you recharge/change the battery you need to enter a security code into the radio? Is this true, as I do not know the code... Am I able to find out the code without going to the dealer? EDIT:Would this tutorial on youtube work?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKKmn4a0gTY Edited June 11, 2013 by Tehepicford Quote
daddyfixit Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 you need the code numbers from the side of the radio, people on here can get the code for you. Quote
BrianH Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 You can also use one of the memory saver type devices. Its probably a good idea to have a record of the code anyway. Its been noted a few times recently that with used ones that previous owners have noted the code ontop of the unit somewhere once you pull it out having encountered the same problem so that may be worth a look. davehewitt Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 if you have the serial number you can generate a code. if you have the right program from the internet. Quote
