paulfoel Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 2010 Galaxy Titanium. Had tow bar fitted yesterday. At first, I'm pretty sure there wasn't an issue with the sensors. Towed caravan yesterday evening and, of course, sensors were affected. However, today, with no caravan they seem to be going mad when reversing. I'm sure I've read somewhere they're self-setting or something. Any ideas? Quote
gregers Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 was the electrics programmed to the car?,when i had mine fitted it had to be.i will be shortly taking it off the missus car and putting it on mine and have been told that both cars need to be reprogrammed. Quote
gregers Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 then i would say thats the problem then, find a friendly tow bar fitter and ask how much it will cost to be done.i could well be wrong but you need the dedicated software to be able to do this, and i dont think its free ;) ;) Quote
paulfoel Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Im finding now that sometimes it works and sometimes it just goes mad. Towbar is obviously fitted now. Is there anything I can do now to sort it out? Quote
gregers Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 yeah as my post above, iirc as on these cars the sensors do not learn that a bar is fitted it has to be told, well thats what i have been lead to believe. Quote
