Cambelt Change Guide

Hi all, i seem to recall seeing a link to a guide on changing the cambelt on a 1996 1.9 TDI but cant find it now! Can anyone help me with a guide to changing the belt please?

it will take a good four hours if you have not done one before, most of the time is taken getting at the belt,

there are marks on the pulleys to line up, if you are not sure put your own marks on the pulleys and casing with tipex,

and the golden rule, turn it over by hand before trying to start it, checking for tight spots at tdc,

you will manage ok,

Thanks f0ster! I did manage to change it, but i now think it is out by a tooth as it runs OK on tickover but is sluggish and there is a feedback noise in the airbox on over run!
