Hello all,

Must first say what a very helpful site, saved me lots time and happy to know that my galaxy has the same faults as there is posts in the tech forum!!  I was in need of a 7 seater and from research kept coming back to the galaxy. I sold my beloved 5series of 8 years and picked up a 2002 1.9TDI Ghia (130). So the list began with the electrics in the master switch on the drivers door not working, and was pleased to find on here that the wires in the rubber conduit are at fault, and they where!

Next up a service, straight forward enough, oil, air and diesel filters. However the pollen was a pig! but again lots of tips on here to help out.

Yesterday was spent on locating the knocking from the front end, I fitted new anti roll bar drop links  and I have ordered the rear engine mount as the engine slaps back and fort with the power on and off.

I picked up the vag com cable today had have fixed the parking sensors on the front and rear. The o/s mid sensor on the front was not getting the pulse wire, ran a new wire from behind the n/s sensor and that sorted the front. The rear had not got a 12v supply at the sensors turned out that the spare was rubbing aganst the loom and broke the 12v going to the 4 sensors at the back.

So all there is left to do is fix the heater controls,(flashing for a few seconds each time I start the car).

I also fitted bluetooth and an alarm to the bus as that is what I do for a living!!

So if i can help anyone out let me know!!

Cheers, Casper!
