tuckerpop Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Hi everyone, My first post, so please go easy on me. I've been lurking in the shadows for a long time, regularly following the threads regarding the causes of front-end vibration and judder. After changing bearings and driveshafts to no avail, my next job is brake discs and pads.Anyway, I'm happy that the brake pads I've bought are genuine Mintex. But the discs - not so sure! Bought off the 'bay from a large parts supplier with good feedback... but no Mintex box.Can anyone please confirm the markings on a genuine disc? The only markings on the 300mm discs supplied are stamped on the edge: BPOD BD930V 120216 FLII'm only concerned they might be inferior Chinese parts, when I paid for genuine. Many thanks to everyone for the excellent advice already gained here. Quote
bigdave982 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Im sure my mintex discs were marked mdc**** etcThe seller i bought from is still listing them(just checked) Google bd903v and u do find brake discs but not under mintex Quote
tuckerpop Posted April 12, 2013 Author Report Posted April 12, 2013 Thanks bigdave, I should have thought to google first! Turns out they appear to be from LPB. A budget Chinese product, I believe, and not a premium brand like I paid for. I've asked to return them for a refund. We'll see what happens. But I ain't fitting them! Best regards Quote
