Dvd Player

Hi guys, Just bought a 54 ghia and I can't get the dvd player to work. Checked all wiring and connections all seem ok. The 12v socket has power but can't get anything else. Can someone tell me whether the remote lights up when buttons are pressed?

Do the screens come on automatically when you plug external equipment in?

 

Waiting for a mate to come round to check if there is a reading from the plugs.

If it is like mine, the DVD player only works if the radio in the front console is also switched on.

In my 2003 galaxy mine would not work aswell after a lot of looking it narrowed down to the black box that sits on top of the player was faulty and not cheap for a new one so I did in the end was rewire from the ignition to the back of the black box then from the box to the player and u must find the live feed as to which the ignition feed will go to and now it works until,u take the key now as with the remotes there now lights etc letting u know it work hope this helps and gd luck
