Abs Brake Problem

Last couple of weeks the abs light has been coming on when braking at slow speeds. Eg. When parking or doing a three point turn etc. When the warning light comes on, the brakes vibrate / rumble but the car doesnt stop. The pedal needs to be pumped to get the brakes to stop the car. I now have a cracked front bumper from it catching me out when manouvering and I nudged a bollard.

 

Any help please guys?

Check all four abs rings to make sure none are cracked as a cracked ring or loose connection may activate the abs.

One of the abs sensors is fooling the control unit that the wheel is looked, as stated above it could be a cracked abs ring or a faulty sensor.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-GALAXY-95-06-FRONT-ABS-RELUCTOR-RING-ABS011/370445363135 will give you an idea of what the ring looks like, it's fitted on the cv joint just behind the hub on the front (I'm not sure abou the rear ones as I've never looked!)

 

If the rings are ok check the fault memory to find out which sensor

Found the sensor wire behind front offsside wheel has worn away. Appears to be down to the actual inner wire. Assuming when it gets wet its causing the abs issue. Ive taped it up until I get a new sensor cable.

 

Any know the part number for the cable? 02 plate 1.9tdi 115 auto.
