Service Light Reset

Hi All,

 

I know this subject will have been covered before, but i can not open the relevant FAQ section, i think it's because of not having placed enough posts.

 

I have a 2004 TDI and was wondering if it is possible to reset the service light indicator without having to attach the car to a computer?

 

Any help is appreciated.

I assume you mean the 'Service in xxx miles' display - here's what you do

 

With the ignition off, press the mileage reset button

Hold in reset button while you turn the ignition on

After about a few seconds the display should reset itself

Release the button and turn the ignition off
