Mark & Cath Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 The drivers side rear caliper has failed on our 2001 (new shape) Galaxy. My local breaker has a 1998 (old shape) Galaxy and I need to know if the calipers are the same or did they get changed when the Galaxy got updated? CheersCatherine Quote
sparky Paul Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 AFAIK mk.I and mk.II rear calipers are the same on most models, apart from some mk.II 2.8 V6 which had larger rear calipers. BTW, you can buy a new rear caliper from Brakeparts for £52.50+VAT. Quote

Mark & Cath Posted December 25, 2012 Author Report Posted December 25, 2012 Mine was pouring brake fluid out of the seal so I changed it rather than mess with it. Sparky Paul was right, the calipers are the same so no worries and cheaper. Quote
