Norman Cook Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I have an ongoing nightmare with the "handbrake on" warning message and bong, bong, bong with my Galaxy. It is a 2000 on an X, 115 TDI. I have checked all of the obvious things; Handbrake switch, brake fluid level, brake pad wear indicators and no joy. I have metered out the various wires back to the dashboard but am out of ideas. Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the dash cluster / instruments so I can isolate the cable to the instruments? Quote
xavier Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 is the handbrake returning fully to the floor? Quote
Norman Cook Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 Yep. Have also tried unplugging the handbrake switch. Quote
Norman Cook Posted December 16, 2012 Author Report Posted December 16, 2012 Sussed it! It was the instrument cluster that was faulty. Replaced it with a 2nd hand one off fleabay, job done! Quote
