I have an ongoing nightmare with the "handbrake on" warning message and bong, bong, bong with my Galaxy. It is a 2000 on an X, 115 TDI.

I have checked all of the obvious things; Handbrake switch, brake fluid level, brake pad wear indicators and no joy. I have metered out the various wires back to the dashboard but am out of ideas.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the dash cluster / instruments so I can isolate the cable to the instruments?

is the handbrake returning fully to the floor?
