Can you help out a near suicidal Galaxy owner?

 

I'm going through the mill with the Galaxy at the moment, but I have an urgent problem that I need some help with as the car is off the road at the moment. I'll be asking the slightly less urgent questions in the coming days when the car is back on the road.

 

In the recent wet weather my O/S headlight has managed to get water in, and it was enough to drown the levelling motor. My car has Xenons and the short adjusted the headlight to it's highest position, jammed itself and looks like everything has burned out. The circuit board is trash for sure.

 

I urgently need a part number for the motor. It has the following stamped on it:

 

0 307 853 305 13.07.05

1 J0 941 295 E

 

My car is a 2005 TDi 150 Ghia with factory Xenons.

Result, I think.

 

I checked eBay and found the same motor from a 2001 VW Golf with 35 minutes left on the auction. Picked it up for £15 + postage.

 

Fingers crossed that we can move on to my other dramas next.
