Front Rattle

Evening all just a quick question I have an annoying rattle coming from the passenger side front,just had m.o.t but nothing came up as worn or lose really getting to me now, do the bolts that hold the wishbone on wear and could this be the problem? If not really stumped any advice would be very greatfull

Most likely problem is one of the anti-roll bar drop links, very common failure and usually more noticable when going over speed humps. The smallest bit of wear in the droplink joints will cause knocking.

 

Replace with genuine Ford/VW parts or good quality branded factor parts - the cheap no-name replacements off that well known auction site don't last long.

Also glove box if the rattle sounds closer - had me stumped for ages - run with glovebox open to check for this - ratlle would change or disappear.

Had the same problem, I did the whole hog n replaced both struts, inner n outer track rods, both ball joints and drop links, also both wish bones, guess what still rattled on bumps! So changed the last two bits, yup the anti roll bar bushes problem now solved!!!! At least I now know alls well up front lol
