Harryadams Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 I have a 2008 galaxy with the optional sat nav, I've not owned it long and I've noticed intermittent problems with the sat nav. The map disappears or doesn't work on occasions but the GPS/ route finder continues to work. I cannot relate this to how long the car has been running, weather conditions, use of any media functions etc. I can only assume it must be a issue with the disc (grease or scratches on it) and with the risk of sounding stupid i cannot work out how to eject the disc to inspect it. I've checked all the books the car came with but nothing relates to the sat nav. Before I go to ford or a specialist shop and pay through the nose i am hoping for a simple solution I would be grateful for any advice. Quote
gregers Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 i could be wrong but i think the disk is located behind a piece of plastic trim on the stereo. Quote
