I have a knocking anti-roll bar link which needs replaced. Thinking of doing it myself, what are the pitfalls?

Dead easy, takes 5 minutes a side, don't even have to take the wheels off. Links are not handed.

What sort of cost are the links I have had hugely conflicting prices quoted and am not sure if the links are worth the cost as they only knock occasionally on my Gal.

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here, but I am experiencing knocks from above the front wheels - I originally thought my shocks had gone (but at 10,000 m?), but seeing your item, could it be this instead?

Thanks for any thoughts on the matter

Almost certainly, you'll notice it most at low speeds. Your dealer should fix this under warranty. I had the same thing on mine but noticed it on the test drive so insisted they fix it before I paid for the car and this was at only 18,000 miles.

Dead easy, takes 5 minutes a side,

If you have to work on the floor I think 15-20 mins a side is more realistic. The nuts are tight. (lever extension required)

Yeah, to be fair, I used a 3/8s air ratchet which means one-handed use. I had to put a ring spanner on at the end to nip them up.

Easy job,

But you will need a 18mm socket / ring spanner not very standard i came upstuck with mine had the normal 17 / 19 :).

Jack car up, remove wheel place block under suspension arm then lower car slightly and carefully to remove weight of link.... might be worth cracking nuts first. Then simply undo the nuts remove and replace.

Think mine was around

pretty straightforward job, good idea to give the nuts a good dose of plusgas or similar night before. Paid
