hotbovril Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 I've just purchased a 1999 2.3 Galaxy Ghia. Annoyingly, a (hopefully) minor problem started a couple of days after I got it. I noticed that the car seemed to be driving itself, or at least maintaining its speed, on the motorway. When driving around town, the revs don't dip far enough when changing gear (remaining at 2000rpm) and take a little while to dip to a standard rpm for idle. I'm hoping that this is something simple like cleaning out a throttle body/casing but I really am a complete and utter novice when it comes to car mechanics and don't even know where to start looking. Any help (particularly a picture) would be super! NB I did have a good trawl through here and couldn't find a similar topic so my apologies if I'm duplicating anything. Quote
