Guest Fred Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I am trying to trade-in my Sep 03 Galaxy 1.9 TDI (130) Ghia and cannot find a trade-in price. Even Glass's does not mention the 130, although they do list the 115 model. Does anybody know where I can find out what would be a realistic trade-in value? Fred Quote
johnb80 Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I would have thought there would be very little difference value wise between the 130 and 115. Add a little bit to the 115 price or should you be taking a bit away for the reported rougher running? Regards - John Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Why do you want to trade in such a new car? Not many people will want to do that, hence there will be few guidelines to determine its value. Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 I agree, I cant see that there would be any difference really between the 115 and the 130. Base it on the 115. Quote
Guest Fred Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Just out of interest, the best I was offered in the end was Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 So, if you don't mind me asking, what did you do in the end? Keep it? Quote
Another?Maybe! Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Should have put it on offer on this site, I was looking for a 130 and not easy to find but am sorted now if not put in gaol first! Ford Direct site gives an idea of selling prices, take some off if it's a trade-in Quote
Guest Fred Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 I've kept the Galaxy for the wife as a run about - she doesn't think the Jag X Type Estate I've ordered fo myself will be big enough for us! I'll do a private sale in a couple of years time and buy her a polo. The reason for the poor trade in price was apparently that a lot of 1 yr old Galaxy's are due on the 2nd hand market in Sep.
