alexlunt81 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Hi everyone i am a galaxy newbie and not at all mechanically minded with cars of any sort. i recently purchased a P reg 2.8 V6 galaxy and one of the problems i have is that the ABS warning light comes on and off of its own free will, somebody told me that maybe the sensors need cleaning but i have no idea where to look or what they even look like. so please can someone help me with my dilemna. thankyou alex :45: Quote
alan_131 Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) I don't know if your problem is due to the sensors needing cleaning - sounds odd to me but I've never had a problem with mine (whoops that'll have jinxed it). Sounds as if it could be more like a loose/intermittent connection or damaged wiring to me but I suppose muck between sensor and ring might be the messing it up. You can get some diagnostic information with vcds (if you haven't come across this before, as long as you have access to a laptop, a lead for less than £10 on ebay plus a free download gives you a really useful diagnostic package) - this can point you towards which sensor is at fault or if it's something else. For example outputhttp://wiki.ross-tec...index.php/00285Ross-tech are the authors of the vcds package. SilverBeast Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) This one should do it ebay link. Read the listing, it tells you where to download the software. Make sure you use the drivers they provide, it's from the Ross-Tech site, they write the software. Edited September 13, 2012 by SilverBeast Quote
