booms Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Hi there Thinking of buying a 2000-2006 Galaxy to transport bits and pieces e.g. Ikea stuff, other furniture, but only occasionally people. To get a sense of whether it's big enough, I'm trying to find the exact dimensions of the boot with only the front seats in - then figure out what I could fit in it. It's easy enough to get the dimensions of the whole car, but not this specific info, so does anyone know? Want to see if I could fit our sofa in, or a disassembled double bed etc. Quote
nicebutdim Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 In my mk1 which has similar dimensions I can fit anything in upto just over 6ft. I know that sounds rather approx but I managed to get a 3 seat sofa and a 2 seat in at the same time. It was a little cramped up front with the seats forward but certainly doable. Quote
gregers Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 ive had 5 brand new 6' 6" doors in my old 1. Quote
booms Posted September 9, 2012 Author Report Posted September 9, 2012 Thanks guys, Really appreciate it. I actually managed to find a link that said it was about 2.1m http://charmcitycbc.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/volkswagen-sharan-2010.html Fantastic! Ford Galaxy it is then. Quote
xavier Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I managed to get 60 2.4m deck boards in mine comfortably, though I did have to rotate the passenger seat 180 degrees. Quote
