Yeah update since i took off the battery as suggested and refitting it,driving to golf ok,coming back abs, brake light and engine management light on.And of course the wobbling car light still on.While these are on i have no speedo or milage read out.The car seems to be running ok,but nervous to take it far. ANY OTHER IDEAS PETER

Update on abs and brake light coming on.I called into fords in neath (west glam)and got to talking to a very helpful workshop manager(john).I gave him all the symtoms,he suggested i tried a few things before booking it in to them. The main ones was multi plugs. The main one is the multi plug by the rear by the tank.Open it,clean it,grease it,make sure there are no breaks and refit it.Touch wood for 3 days these lights havent come on.So if its cured i have john to thank(thank you john).Still have wobbling car light on but i know thats a different problem (i can live with that) PETER
