bhbobhill Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 It went for its MOT yesterday among its faults was osf sidelight bulb blown. This might sound like a daft question but there aint no room there, do you have to take the headlight unit out to replace a bulb, if so how?Whoever designed this machine must have had good laugh about the troubles us punters will have to face. Any help would be much appreciated.Kind regardsBob Hill Mk 2 Galaxy 2002 1.9 TDI Quote
Saif Rehman Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 There is a small inspection/access hatch in the wheel arch but you need tiny hands or loads of patience to get the bulb changed. Quote
SilverBeast Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 Most of the time it's easier to take the headlight out, particulary on the drivers side as there is the air intake tube in the wing that feeds the air filter. There are details on taking out the headlight somewhere on the site. The inspection hatches slide (uo or down I can't remember) but get clogged with road dirt over time so may end up coming out instead. You then have the joyous task of cleaning out the muck and getting the hatch back into the groove. Quote
