diffeyp Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Hi All Have had VAG COM running on XP laptop for several years, but computer has broken. Have tried to get it running on Vista and Windows 7 machines without success. On the Vista machine it loads ok and appears to work when plugged into the car but crashes as soon as you select a scan or module. On the Windows 7 machine it won't open at all. Any suggestions greatfully received. If I need a newer version, is it possible to just get hold of the disc as the cable is fine. Thanks Quote

alan_131 Posted August 11, 2012 Report Posted August 11, 2012 For full product, if you have a real ross-tech cable you can download updates free for the life of the cable. (from ross-tech.com who are the developers) If you have an ebay cable you can download the latest vcds-lite free from the same place. I did this and it works fine on a samsung q210 laptop running vista home premium. If you have a registered version of vcds-lite iirc, updates are free but you can only change the pc it runs on once, then you have to buy a new licence. Quote
