sevenseats Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 i have a 2007 tdci manual with 53,000. about 6 months ago it dropped into limp home mode and the engine mgmt light came on. 9at a gentle cruise of 2250rpm on M3. i re started the car but the problem repeated. my local garage replaced injector 3. cleaned fuel filter. flushed out fuel tank. still same problem. electronic engineer cleaned pipes to turbo (i think) bit sooted. still the same problem. any thoughts. help. guidance. anything. i have spent hundreds not resolving a problem. am concerned about going to another garage/engineer and getting no where (well poorer!) vehicle is essentially unsafe. all help gratefully recvd. i have read about 45min blast at 4000rpm+ in fourth gear? many many thanks Quote
alan_131 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Limp mode is something that comes up frequently and I'm sure you'll get great help here on the site but as the Mk3 is a very different animal to the MK1/2 probably better If you re-post in the MK3 part of the forum http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?/forum/175-mkiii-technical-section/ where you'll find a wider audience with mk3 experience and the mk3 faqs...Good luck Quote
