Drivers Door Open..

Well, thats what the Information light keeps saying. The door is shut, I have been shutting car doors for 19 years so I know how to shut a car door.

 

This also means that whenh I try to arm it, it wont as it thinks the door is open.

Door lock solenoid?

What about sensors?

 

Any ideas?

What about that little black switch that normally illuminates the interior lights when doors open and switches off when doors closed?

Where should I look? Is it door side or by the hinge?.

I don't know where they are located on the mk3's but you know what i'm talking about??? It's the black rubber covered switch which are normally visible when you open the doors.

Couldnt find the kind of thing that you meant. This morning its going to a garage to be looked at. I have a warranty with the car so hopefully covers it.

Will report back.

Appears the part was replaced in May so it should be under warranty. Hopefully will resolve it.
