Rear Wiper Constant Working

hi there im hoping someone can help me out i have a 51 plate ford galaxy, the thing is my rear wiper keeps working when not my rear wiper is not switched on i cannot find the fuse anywhere ihave looked under the steering wheel where the fuse box is and according to the diagram its number 20 but it was still working when i pulled that fuse out please help

Check the wires in the rubber gaitors to the tailgate. Probably insulation crumbled and cores shorting. Common problem, see Tech FAQ 31, 43,44 for some details and pics

the infamous tailgate wiring shorted out/snapped spaghetti puzzle rears its head again !!!!

 

buy a decent soldering iron, some heatshrink tubing and some lengths of cable in different colours.

 

and i still have a new loom to be made up and fitted to mine , just dont fancy a day of cursing while the kids are off !!!
