hampstead Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Hello On our 1998 Galaxy, above the jack storage compartment is another compartment covered by a flap, containing the CD changer. Next to the changer there's a shaped piece of foam that looks like it's intended to hold something - can anyone tell me what it's for? Thanks! Quote
Guest lawton Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I'd love to know this as well. Even if you take the foam out there is not enough room to get a folder of CDs in there. Anyone got a clue?? Quote
johnb80 Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I haven't seen it but could it be for first aid kit or spare bulbs both of which are required by law in some european countries? Regards - JB Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I dont have this in mine except there is some wadding around the changer and underneath to prevent vibration I assume. ;) Quote
ALARM MAN Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I have the answer Ford spent thousands of pound helping design the Ford Galaxy with VW and Seat they all agreed on a shape and style for today's market But one thing had to be decided where to put a spare piece of foam that will baffle people for years to come I think they found it No to be serious I think it was there to hold the plug that goes into the CD changerand stop it from rattling if you had no changer fitted as standard Me thinks but then I am only a Man after all Letters on a post card to ................................................................    : Quote
