Hi All,

My MK II Galaxy 2,8 V6 Malfunction Indicator Light has appeared again. I have VAG-COM and it gives fault codes as below

17559 - Long Term Fuel Trim Additive Air Bank 1: Range 1: System too Lean

P1151 - 35-00 - -

17606 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heater Circuit: B1 S2: Electrical Malfunction

P1198 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow

P0441 - 35-00 - -

Average consumption of Petrol has raised from 11l/100km to 12 l/100km.

Any idea what will causes fault codes and what will be the best way to start solving those problems?

(i) Did you clear the fault codes and go for a drive again, as most (all?) don't "self clear"? They may have been hanging around a while.

(ii) If you go to the Ross-Tech Site/Wiki there should be more information on the codes. I've never done it myself but I'm sure someone will be along to tell you how.

I Have cleared codes many times but after few weeks the light has appeared again. Any knows is there any common fault what should check first?

About this lambda fault code. Could someone give information is this B1S2 after catalysator of before that? I have tried check lambda values using VAG-COM and sensors seems to working normally.

By th way could EGR-valve causes this code P0441?

Sorry if this is of no use but I used to work for BMW and when you had fuel trim too week and lambda sensor faults is was usually an air leak some where on the intake syatem or sometimes a split breather, as I mentioned could be a red herring but might be worth a google search?

Best wishes

Dave
