it is for ford galaxy mkIII ghia 2007 model.

thank you for your help, Tom

Or better still don't bother getting the HID kit at all! All they achieve is blinding everyone who has the misfortune of being in front of your headlights. If you want improved lighting buy a better standard bulb.

yes I know all about it, thank you... on other hand the car will be used abroad most the time anyway and on night time mostly, too... so good lights are a must...

i already have a projector lights on it, slightly better than standart halogen ones.

my question was, will my computer show an error with aftermarket hid xenon conversion kit or not?

and yes I know all the legal and not legal business, so unless you can answer my question, please dont bother lecturing me... saves your and my time.

thank you very much in advance for your time and your understanding in this matter,

Tom

With that kind of response, i don't think anyone will bother replying to your post. The reply that buford_t_justice gave was spot on. Unless you go for the factory fitted option, in my opinion, aftermarket hid kits are a waste of money and time.

And also with the changes due for the MOT this year, hopefully we should see less of these annoying crap lights on our roads.

I suspect computer my show error if canbus says there are HID lights fitted due missing self levelers required for HID

I have the factory fit HIDs - they are nice but you can be blinded by sign boards if they are clean even on dip

also factory HIDs fit a secondary flasher as high beam is to slow to light up durring day

never had anyone win argument with lights on my car as hid full beam + day light flasher is not good combination - you have to really think before flashing some one at night

I wished they would give option to run HID at lower dip level is so esay to blide others - and if they cant see there may hit you !!

if going to fit HIDs please think about geting the correct reflectors.

I think you may run into problems with projector lamps as hid is a smaller light source and heat profile may damage centre of lens

thank you for all your replies...

fitted the 4300K version ones with no prbs, but saying that the kit that i bought came with resistors that eliminate the canbus/ecu error for showing no bulb...

the headlight units that i have they are prohector ones and identical to xenon version, so no probs there with overheating.

also, i went to the garage to properly aling them and they even pasted the mot test too... so the law that requires all the washing and leveling mechanism are still not in force... after market hid kits still pass the mot with flying colours as long as they are not halogen, if they have projectors inside then no probs at all...

hope that helps some one, too... as no one likes to share this information...

hrm.... so I have done some further reading on this...

I think sometimes the continuous slating of people who want to go with the conversion kit can get your back up... so to speak.

However, I believe it is useful to link to this guy:

It's definitely changed my mind about going with the HID conversion kits.
