Does Anyone Know What This Bit Is?

Just getting ready to do a few jobs on the gal, remove engine undertray and found this bit below, cant see where it came from, any ideas:

looks like the rubber ring from a driveshaft. Think it is used to balance or dampen out vibrations?

Can't really get an impression of size but it looks like one of the rings they put round the hoses to protect them from rubbing.

I've looked round all the driveshafts and cant see any signs of anything missing there.

 

A hose protector does look favourite, its 48mm inner diameter and 70mm outer diameter, will check out the hoses tomorrow to look for a clean bit where it might of come from.

Thank you SilverBeast, you were spot on, found the marks on the charge cooler pipe on the battery side, it does sit next to another pipe so will reattach with self amalgamating tape.
