Auto Box Problems

Hi all

hope there will be an answer to a few Questions i have, having just got a 99 galaxy 1.9tdi i have a few problems with my Auto Box

 

1. will drive in first and second at about 4500 revs speedo tells its about 60mph but think more 50ish

2. can get 1,2 and reverse

 

Having looked on here at result for gearbox probs nothing seems to match

can anyone help? Please!

dont know about gearbox but if your unsure about your speedo borrow a sat nav which will give you a mph reading and see if both match . if it is wrong the speedo could be the wrong one for your car or it could be gearbox related. not sure where auto s get there speed signal from .
