andyscot Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 I have just purchased a 2007 (57 reg) 2.0TDCI manual Galaxy Ghia. We love everything about it but I noticed that when on the motorway if I put my foot on the accelerator between 1000 and 2000 revs there will occasionally be a 'spike' in revs where the revs will increase by 500 immediately then fall back to where they were. There is no loss in acceleration but just sounds like an automatic changing up a gear. Is this normal? Quote
Squeegy Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Clutch slip? If it is the clutch then get it checked out ASAP as it could also kill the dual mass flywheel. Quote
