Guest freeman Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 Am i right in thinking that the internal volume alarm is only activated when the car is double lockedI am asking because sometimes i will leave my dog in the car (not when it is hot) and am wondering wether the doors can be alarmed without the interiorTHe pdf brochure i have seen does not explain it clearlyThanks Quote
Guest Mondeosci Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 On my new Mondeo if you press the remote button once it activates the immobiliser but NOT the internal volume alarm . On pressing for a 2nd time it then activates the internal sensors . Press once or lock the doors without double locking to protect your doors & dog . ;) Quote
Guest freeman Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Thanks for the replyI take it that when you press the remote once, the doors are alarmed as well as the immobiliser being armed, but locking with the key nothing is set. Thanks again Quote
Guest Mondeosci Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 If you place the key in the lock & turn it clockwise it locks the doors , sets the door alarms & immobiliser . If you place the key in the lock & turn anticlockwise for 2 secs & then clockwise it sets the double locking & sets the internal sensors as well . I always use the remote to lock . Another good feature I've found is that if you open the car via remote or key & don't put the ignition key in within 45 secs the car locks itself & arms everything . Quote
