steve 0 Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Hi guys can any one help, I've got a lot of water in the inlet manifold which pours out when you undo the bolts holding it to the head, I dont think this is normal could the headgasket be gone? I'm losing water and its got tobe going in there some how in need of some help ( when you remove the inlet manifold does the water come from the water pump as there is a rubber gasket close to it)... many thanks Quote
Mirez Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 You don't generally get water up in the inlet manifold if the heads gone - its more likely that the EGR cooler has cracked and you are pumping water into the intake just before the manifold (at the EGR valve), Seperate the pipe going into the EGR from below and see if water's inside. I've got a spare knocking about so let me know if you want it. Quote
