georgeedward Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 hi i have just joined as a member and wondered if anyone could help please, i have just purchased a galaxy 130 - 1900 TDi Ghia 6 speed gearbox, the problem i have is with reverse gear, when the vehicle is facing down hill, I am unable to access reverse gear do others have the same problem or is there someone who could advise, on the level there doesn't seem to be a problem.thankyou Quote

georgeedward Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Posted April 30, 2012 thank you Gregers, at the moment the car is back at the garage, i bought it a week last saturday and returned it saturday just gone, it has three months warranty, however, the garage rang to say that they had tried the car and it was fine, yes this does happen occassionally and it is fine on level ground, but has a problem when on a hill, i would like to feel a bit more confident and wondered where they would have to check for a proper diognosis, would you know a question I could ask them to make sure they have checked.thank you Quote
daddyfixit Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 ask them to check all gearchange cables on top of the gearbox, underneath the battery tray for wear and tear get them to try it when car is cold and after a run, perhaps clutch is on the way out ??? Quote
