hi all, i not long baught a mk1 galaxy the car now and again looses power (usually when overtaking)as if the turbo shuts off so i took it to the local garage they done a diagnostics on it and it said

00625 vehicle speed sensor - not a plausable signal

65535 E.C.U defective

17978 E.C.U blocked p1570 intermittent

00575 manifold absolute pressure deviation

00553 mass air flow sensor - open short circuit

I was told that the maf was replaced just before i baught the car i checked it and it looked a lot cleaner than the other pipes so presume it was replaced but the code was not removed so can any one help me with these codes or what is wrong with the car i.e the loss of power the car has 149,000 miles on it thanks for any help

Sorry - ecu is behind the instrument cluster - take out surround (2 screws) then unscrew cluster (2 screws and tilt forward then pull, slide between wheel and dash after dropping column as low as poss. You may have to take out bulb failure unit from on top according to haynes but my ghia has bulb failure but no unit there IIRC.
