PaulMag Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 Try this http://www.evolutionchips.co.uk/Car_and_Van_Remapping_Search.asp Quote
chromedome Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 From wehat I have read on the forum and elsewhere the tuner chips are a big no no. You can find companies that can remap at a price. I can understand that you want more mpg but remember this vehicle is a heavy MPV and I would be concerned about tring to get more performance out of it especially with kids in the car. Quote
mikej Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) Don't bother the 2.3 is gutless and turboless, i've had one for approx 5yrs now and wouldn't waste my money on this lump especially in such a heavy motor. Been looking at the options over the years as i tow a caravan (slowly) I did run a mapped 320bhp volvo prior to this and in my own opinion if it ain't got a turbo it ain't worth mapping it as the gains are very poor. If you want to save fuel you could try LPG that's the first thing i did to this when i bought it and never looked back to be honest, however even that's getting dearer and your better of getting one that's been converted already if you can, in fact that's the only thing making me keep it as i sure as hell wouldn't like to put petrol in it  Edited May 7, 2012 by mikej Quote
glyndwr Posted May 8, 2012 Author Report Posted May 8, 2012 im not after more performance just a bit more mpg ,, the speed doesn't bother me Quote
mikej Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 Apart from the usual advice regards driving style, servicing and tyre pressures etc there is not much you can do apart from lighten the load maybe(take some redundant seats out). I am seeing mid fifties equivalent mpg on LPG and would have definately got shot of the old bus if it hadn't been for the conversion but as said earlier unless it's already fitted it proberly doesn't make much sense now unless you do huge mileage. -_- Quote
