Hi,

I'm new to this site and hope some one out there can give me some advice.

I have a Galaxy TDi (90BHP) which I am generally pleased with but am thinking about buying a caravan. I am able to identify the type of caravan I want within the kerbweight restrictions etc. but does anyone have any first hand experience of actually towing and how these vehicles fair? Are there any snags or points to watch out for?

Regards

Whilst I can't really comment on the 90BHp from a pulling point of view, my Gal 115 TDi tows very well indeed, second only to my 4.2 Range Rover. I tow a big Tow-A-Van that is up to the Gals max towing weight.

Hi

I have a 1.9 TDi and tow a 515 (about a 21 foot caravan). Single axle job.

The Galaxy doesn't even know it's attached.

I've only towed on relatively short journeys to date, but with a mixture of motoring.

Thanks for all the help. Caravan hunting starts in earnest this weekend.
