Satelite Navigation Cd Update

I wonder if anyone knows where I can get the latest Sat nav map update CD for my 57 plate Galaxy.

The prblem I have is the maps do not come up sometimes only at 1 km scale...at 200m its just a pointer with no maps.

Its been fine all this time with no issues...everything else on the computer system is fine.

Do I need a PCM update?

Can i do it from a cd? I have no DVD player..I think its the Blaupunck Sat Nav 2007 type

If I have to go to Ford dealer, how much is it?

Also will the update solve my problem?

Does the update upgrade all the computer firmware?

Pls can anyone advise me.

I live in North London N14..is there a reliable dealer that won't rip me off!!!!

you might try ringing the dealer to see what they advise?or go in and have a chat and try and get a friendy grease monkey to give you advice.

right done a bit of investigating for you,

DONT USE THE SCREWDRIVER WAY,old credit card etc.

now all this info is taken for the smax,which as far as i know has the same system fitted to yours.
