What Gearbox Oil To Use?

hey guys, quick question, i've been on to ford for this but they won't give any further info except a price!! I need some oil for my gearbox, its a ford galaxy 2001 AUTO V6 2.8 with a 4 speed AUTO gearbox. I've tried my local factors and they all ask me what viscosity i want, when they look up their system it just says unlisted! Ford want

Serch OPIE oils and they sell AT fluid ,they will tell you the correct oil by phone or email.You must be carefull not to get any dust in gearbox and get correct level.They are expensive to repair.

Tried VW and they couldn't help..... anyone know?

Go back to VW or SEAT dealer and ask for gearbox oil for Auto V6 2.8 litre SHARAN or ALHAMBRA - it is the same box - however 2001 should be a 5 SPEED box (AG5), 4 speed boxes (AG4) were fitted to Mk1 models (up to production year mid 2000)

 

Alternatively ring GSF Carparts - they should be able to help.
