Guest Clifton Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I have a 1998 (S) Mondeo 2.0 GLX (which I'm really pleased with, having suffered a Sierra for 6 years!). Another website advised that I may have footwell lights fitted but without bulbs. Sure enough, I had a look and a couple of bulb holders were fitted up under the footwells, either side of the centre console. I bought Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I cant believe that the tight bastards at Ford simply left out the bulbs and then put them in on the Ghia and called it an upgrade, this is the typical penny pinching philosophy of the, Some bloke is probably paid Quote
Guest nimrod Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Same thing goes for the rear fog light, depending on the country of sale depends on which side fog lamp bulb is fitted! all manufacturers do it so we should'nt really just slate Ford for what is a common money saveing ploy which isnt passed on to the buyer! Guest vitrocmax Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I've just upgraded my C-Max to Ghia spec for Quote
Guest Clifton Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 The only other (relatively) cheap and easy upgrade was to the interior courtesy light itself. Bought a Ghia version, the one with built-in map-reading lights, and simply swapped the unit for my old one. The electrical connection is just the same and the unti just prises out of the roof, so it's a job that even a complete novice (like me!) can attempt. From memory, I paid about Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 many years ago I fitted a set of RS clocks to my Mk1 Escort which only needed some tin snips to widen the aperture, all the wiring etc for the oil temp and rev counter were there tho, guess they used the same loom for all variations Quote
