Nick Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 Does anyone know the weight in kg (or pounds) of a full charge of A/C gas for a 1997 GhiaX? Quote
Nick Posted April 18, 2003 Author Report Posted April 18, 2003 Thanks Fred for such a speedy response! Now I've just come back from the car and I can't find a sticker regarding air con :( I have a sticker giving car weights and an Air Bag! sticker and just a yellow sticker with 1,6 on it. When you say 'slam panel' do you mean the door post between the front and back doors? Or where should I look? You also mention Oil. Where do I check the level/refill the oil? What oil is it?Sorry about all these questions. This forum is great. I ran a search a couple of years ago hoping someone had done something like this, but I didn't get any results back :( . Glad I found you all now :D Quote
neil Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 Just had my air con refilled and have a question. I know the air con has to be run on a regular basis to maintain it, but the garage said run it every day. This seems to be a bit excesive and impractical. Are there and 'experts' out there that can inform me if every day is correct or if not, what is a reasonable minimum? :( Quote
Nick Posted April 18, 2003 Author Report Posted April 18, 2003 I'm no expert but opion is once a MONTH to keep the seals and stuff flexible. Quote
Nick Posted April 18, 2003 Author Report Posted April 18, 2003 That's why I can't see mine - the front end was replaced a couple of years back when I failed to stop myself entering the rear end of a female Mondeo!Fred, can I take it that the info you posted above was from your car? or was it from the TIS CD?I have the car gassed by a friend in the A/C business and need to tell him what the full charge is. Does the TIS CD show any detail for the oil top off? Thanks.Nick Quote
Nick Posted April 25, 2003 Author Report Posted April 25, 2003 Now that I have the right amount of gas in the system (1.350kg) (Ford dealer told me it was 0.74kg!!!) penguins could live in it :rolleyes:Fred, thanks for the line on the TIS CD...one day I may be able to find things on it :( Quote
