Drivers Door Electric Window

using the "onetouch" close on the drivers door accasionally the window goes nearly all the way up,then comes down to leave it about 4" open. Try to close it all the way then goes up to around 5mm short of closed the stops ,needs another little tug o the button to close all the way

does not do it all the time ,but wehn it does it always stops in the same place

any ideas ?? dave

There is a safety feature on most electric windows to stop kids trapping their fingers in the window it works by resistance to the motor will stop the close approx 2 - 3 inches from the top. I suspect there is something caught in on of the runners which is triggering this safety feature. lower the window fully a wipe out the runners with a damp cloth
