Parking Sensor Module

Hi

 

Just bought a 03 Galaxy, found the rear wash wipe washer not working,

on reading the forum and linking it to the parking sensor failure, I found

the uncoupled pipe and a pool of water and a wet parking module.

 

I will repair the washer link!

 

If I buy a new module does it have to be syncronised to the car, I initially thought

it was a one in one out item. By syncronised i mean does some computer have to be pluged in to

allow this part to recognise a new module.

 

Also is a VW sharan unit identical to mine for the same age, some people have said the

vw version is cheaper from new!

have you taken the unit apart?is it full of water?

iirc if its not to fubared?then a good clean out MAY resurect it,im sure someone on here was lucky enough to do this.

I took it appart, it looked fine and dry, i assumed the problem to

be this due to the water leak. tried back in still no joy. flashing

parking sensor fault light on the switch. Can faulty sensors cause this.

could the module be ok but a sensor is duff?
