Hi,

I have been given a Sat Nav from a 2005 Galaxy by my wife to fit into our 2004 Galaxy.

We have a multi function steering wheel as an added option in the car as well.

I would like to know is there a step by step guide to install a Sat Nav into the Galaxy central console.

By the looks of it the unit is too large and I am wondering if I need to change any facsia to get this to fit into the housing.

The CD/Radio that came out was a 6006 (with a dud CD player) so it is pretty standard as fittings go.

Any advice/guidance would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Steve

You are correct, the Satnav (MFD1) unit needs a new bezel surround which is surprisingly reasonable from Ford at around

Hi,

Wow, many thanks for a fast response.

You don't by chance have the part numbers. I have looked around for a bezel but am not really sure of what I'm looking for as there appears to be a large number of these or should I just go to a ford main dealer and get one?

Welcome all info on this as this will solve a real headache...

Cheers

Steve

There ya go, Finis= 1319217

Its worth noting that the cup holders and all surrounding switch's have different part numbers for the navigation bezel however its cosmetic rather then functional as the old switches will fit and work fine but the revised ones have square corners not the rounded ones.
