Gearbox Change

After posting the other day (urgent advise). The car has been on the ramp :)

 

I've been told the gearbox needs replacing along with the o/s driveshaft etc etc etc...

HIGHLY unlikely to need the gearbox replacing. If you arn't sure what you are looking for then I guess you could assume the inner stub is part of the output shaft but it would be a silly conclusion to make since its not the case :) Get a second, third and maybe even a forth opinion before you let a garage rip you off.

I'll have a chat with a couple of people this morning & then sit down with my mechanic and see what the best way forward is.
