Denis Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 What does the manual mean when it says the rear air conditioning "operates only in recirculated air mode"? I had assumed the air coming out of the rear roof vents was already air conditioned, according to the setting on the cc module, does this mean the rear of the car can only be properly cooled if I select 'recirc'? Guest nimrod Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 The rear heater unit only operates in recirc mode as in it recircs the cabin air and has no access to fresh outside air, it will operate as long as you have it switched on and hiting the recirc button on the CC panel will have no effect on its operation Quote
rwtomkins Posted May 28, 2004 Report Posted May 28, 2004 Do you mean the rear aircon unit, nimrod? The jammy so-and-so evidently has dual aircon. Quote

The jammy so-and-so evidently has dual aircon. jammy? as in he has twice the amount of parts to replace when it goes wrong! either way it operates in the same manor, as in it only recircs the existing air and is not dependant on the recirc button being pushed on the CC panel Quote
Denis Posted May 28, 2004 Author Report Posted May 28, 2004 I went for a spin last night and tried to see if there was any difference whan I selected normal or recirc. and no, the air from the roof vents remained just as cool so I think you have it Nimrod ta, it's only the heating that's affected.
