Galaxy Mk2 Oil Sump

Hi,I have a mk2 galaxy 2.3 y reg sump without pan if anyone needs one ,I needed the pan and got sent wrong part ,it includes chain tentioners will add pic later

Sump withiout pan, has chain and tensioners, i thought the sump was the pan with the drain bolt in the base and the chain was fitted inside the block, think i need to have a closer look ?

i need the pan myself as the drain bolt has just stripped :huh:

no i thought so to but when the guy sent me a pic of the pan i agreed to buy but he sent me this part instead and wouldnt take it back. what i got told at ford that the part i had was the sump,ive put a pic on to show

Thats not the sump! The sump is indeed the pan with the drain hole in it - that looks like the bottom of the crank case?

The block is in two halfs, and maybe the guy refered to that as the sump and the pan is actually a sump tray fitted on the reverse of that etc, oh i don't know ??? :rolleyes: Edited September 12, 2011 by mikej
