davewill Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Hi I will be needing to replace the front two tyres on my 140PS Titanium Gal, in the next month or so Tyre size is 225 50 R17 and i was just wondering if you have these size tyres on your car, what make do you find good and value for money, and which ones are not good in terms of quick wearing, road noise, poor grip etc etc Cheers Dave Quote
davewill Posted August 22, 2011 Author Report Posted August 22, 2011 PS i should say that the tyres on the car currently (factory fitted from new) are NOT run flats, just the ordinary tyres, and i am not really interested in putting run flats on. Quote
swagger Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Hi there, i started a topic ages ago about replacing runflats to XL tyres, which i did, i replaced my runflats with BAurum XL tyres from National tyres, great price and great tyre around Quote
davewill Posted August 26, 2011 Author Report Posted August 26, 2011 Thanks Swagger I have the compressor and the "gunk" to squirt into a punctured tyre, that came with the car as new I have also got a can of Halfords puncture repair glue /gas stuff, just in case the first option dont work Hopefully no punctures in the first place. swagger Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 If you ever have to use the GUNK, it can be cleaned out of the tyre with warm soapy water, dont let a tyre fitter tell you it cant be removed, it just takes them longer to repair the tyre, i actually contacted Coninental (CONTI) about their tyre repair kit and that is what they told me, Quote
