Aux Heater (again)

Thanks for the info it seems that the unit itself has a bit more 'intelligense' than a fan heater :lol: here is a link to the post about the temp sensor (with diagrams) - it appears that this fault doesn't stop the heater either - if fault it is

When I get a chance,I will look into it and post some info

You can get fault codes out of the units with nothing more than a low amp bulb

I'll also try to post a list of the codes and what they mean

I need to find out where all the relevant parts are on the Galaxy first(like the ECU)

Another 2 non start faults are under and over voltage

Hi My Aux heater packed up almost a year ago now. Dave_M used VAG.com to diagnose O/c Glow Plug which was duly changed. Dave_M returned with trusty VAG.com to reset.... same diagnosis!! Had unit removed and all connections rechecked ok but still no go.

 

?On board contol unit knackered?

 

Jaroth as an Eberspacher Engineer can you advise any where in the Herts. area I can get a full diagnostic check on the D5WZ without getting Fraud involved. Local dealer wants

It's a smaller version of the Hydronic 10

I'll get some info together and post it on here

If you know where the ECU is,I'll tell you how to test it without a vag com

You have to bear in mind...an o\c includes the wiring going to the component
