Hi All

Can anyone put a light in a debate of XL Tyres.

I need to replace the 4 tyres on my Galaxy and different fitting centers said you need XL as is an MPV and some others said you dont need them just use normal tyres.

Regards

Tyres for the mkI and mkII Galaxy (1995-2006 models) must have a load index of 94 or higher.

For the most common Galaxy tyre size of 215/55R16, this means you must fit reinforced (RF) or extra load (XL).

yes you do, load rating is 95.

As said above go reinforced, my mk1 had some normal load tyres when i bought and it from the mileage on the receipts they didn't seem to last long. In addition if the car was in an accident and the tyres weren't found to be up to manufacturers spec then god knows what they'd say. Edited by ads81
